Kassiopi is located on the northwest coast 37 km from the city of Corfu. This is an area with unparalleled views of the turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea.
During the ancient Roman rule it was a rich city due to the naval trade.
Today it is considered a cosmopolitan destination!
Entering the village we meet rooms for rent, cafes, super markets, shops with souvenirs, and as we move forward, we reach the paved road that leads us to the picturesque port.
The port is still used today by fishermen, by local boats but also by yachts that come to visit the area.
Just opposite the port we see the Albanian coast, while behind us lies the mountain Pantokrator and on the side we find ruins of a Byzantine castle.
Kassiopi has mainly rocky beaches with crystal clear water.
Kalamionas beach is the main beach to the west of the village. It is the most easily accessible, awarded with a blue flag. It is offered for diving to its wonderful seabed.
Bataria beach is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas, we meet it north of the port under the green slopes. If we go to the left of the beach, the rocks, we find Kanoni beach.
Kanoni beach has large smooth rocks that are suitable for diving in its clear blue waters.
Pipitou beach is located northwest of the side of the castle and in order to approach it we go down a slope consisted of rocks.
It is an organized beach with pebbles and sand, with umbrellas and sunbeds where canoes and pedal boats are rented.
